From my mom the nurse: anything clear of light yellow is not a sinus infection. Anything green or brown...go to the Doctor. After my sinus surgery my doctor suggested nasal irregation. Gross but helpful to prevent problems. Basically I have a nasal irragator that I fill with warm filtered water, salt and baking soda every day. My allergies are to dust mites (in beds) so I irrigate in the morning when all the allergens are stuck.

A sinus infection can be cured with antibiotics. Your sinus (cavity) is a part of your body. Various things can cause clogged and painful sinuses. Allergies could be one cause.

Sinus is a reference to the connections concerning your nose (between nose and ears, nose and lungs), it's not an allergy, but can be affected by allergies.
