Generally, no.

Civil contempt warrants are something that another state will not generally arrest on. However, they may make a note to the issuing court where you are now located, and the creditor can attempt to register the judgment in your state, and then deal with collecting the money there.

This is especially true if the debt that you failed to show up on was related to child support. NOTE: In many states, willful failure to pay child support is also a criminal offense, in some cases a felony. A felony warrant is valid in all states and many foreign nations.

You should probably consult an attorney in your state to discuss your options for dealing with this issue. If you don't have an attorney, call your local or state bar association for a referral.
