I knew some of the members from the high school dance scene and wondered what ever happened to the group after the late 60's while I was in the sunny se asia region.

They just put out Chicago XXX, so yes, they are still around. And the new stuff may be different from the old stuff, but is just as good, just in a different way.

I saw them last week in concert in West Palm Beach, FL, and they're as great as they ever were. They still play the old classics, and the new ballads. The link that the poster above me provided has a lot of info on them.

If you're in the market for any of their albums, I would recommend "Overtime" and "the very best of: only the beginning" to start. They have a lot of the old stuff, and some of the newer. I also highly recommend Chicago XXX.

They still gig around. I saw them in Atlantic City a few years back, and they had a different drummer. It used to be Danny Seraphim; now they have Tris Imboden. The stuff from the 80's isn't half as good as their older stuff, but they still are amazing live.
