They're just symbols, they have no real meaning. A lot of clothing companies have been using animals on their shirts (Abercombie uses moose; Aeropostale has a bulldog).

Basically it's like Ralph Lauren putting a Polo symbol on his shirts.

Regarding the rainbow heart; whether it's intentional or not, some people will use it as a symbol. I have a rainbow polo from Old Navy. I honestly don't know if it's deliberate marketing to the gay community or not, but I've seen the very same polo on other gay guys. I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. There's no official "gay list"; some people might look at it and think it's an expression of sexuality, other people will see it as a pretty multicolored heart. I know nothing about deer and have never heard of that as a symbol of anything.

I didnt know Old Navy had rainbow hearts on their tags. Is this just on the women's clothes? I shop at Old Navy a LOT, but in the men's dept, and I have YET to see any of my clothes have rainbow hearts on them.

As far as I know it's not a gay related symbol. It was a sign of piece to represent Old Navy. The companies owner's family was very military based.

The "deer" you speak of, I believe is a doe. (Female deer) Which was to represent freedom of women.

Just as far as I know,,,,

gays/lesbians don't hold an exclusive claim on rainbows. rainbows don't always mean someone is gay...maybe they just like rainbows...or bright colors. as for the deer...it's just a deer.
