I was wondering, when Italy won and Germany lost did the germans want france to win over Italy?

didnt you hear them booing Italian after Zidane got red carded, the whole stadium went crazy..., it wasn't fair for Zidane and his team, this is not the way people[Italian] win the world cup...

Absolutely. Because Italy won over Germany, sure Germans dont want Italy to be champion. If France were to win, Germans would have said, "Well, that's serve them right".

Yes, all the german supporters that were interviewed on the subject said they were supporting France since Germany was out. Most soccer fans around the world would prefer to see any team win but Italy because of how much drama they create and how unethical they are. People are fed up with it.

No they wanted Italy to win, because that would mean that Germany have lost to the Champions instead of France the losing team, it other words an honor for Germany to put up a good fight against the would be Champions of the WC.

Why not? If I'm a German, I would want to see Italy being defeated by France... especially if it shut the doors on Germany.

I think most Germany fans did, though I wanted Italy to win - even if they did beat Germany. =/ Hopefully, Germany will win the next World Cup!

Probably no more or less than Brazil and others wanted Italy to win for Frances elimination of them. It's a natural reaction to want to see those who knock out your teams be beaten next time round. No big drama really.

i think since the germans lost, they didnt want france AND italy to seem better than them cuz that would be if france won. but if italy won (wich it did!!!) then its not a big deal they beat germany

btw: in meantime, Tica and few other bitter French supporters, you have to wait 4 (F O U R) years before France will attempt to become World Champion.
The trophy is now in Rome and it will be for the next 4 years!

Yeah, they wanted France to beat the team who beat them, but really they also didn't care because they were out. It's not fair, it was just bad luck Germany lost, they did great and deserved to win the World Cup, I feel very sad for them.
