You know, the Lebanon/Israeli story isn't that old and already most people are getting it wrong. It WAS NOT Lebanon that went into Israel and kidnapped the two soldiers, it was the terrorist organization Hezbollah, operating out of sourthern Lebanon that did it. The reason Israel is attacking the sourthern Lebanon areas and Beirut is 1) hezbollah lives there, and 2) the government of Lebanon can't/won't do anything about controlling Hezbollah. But remember, the Lebanon Hezbollah came into Israel and kidnapped the soldiers, and that is why the Israelis are in Lebanon. It is not that difficult of a story or concept - what I don't get is why so many people are clueless about what happened. You know, there is more than one source (CNN) of news in the world, people, so try some of the other media outlets instead of relying on only one source.

It is because technically they did. The country of Lebanon is
overrun by the Hezbollah, a terrorist regime. Hezbollah fired upon
Israel and kidnapped 2 of their soldiers. So Israel is now fighting
back. Self-defense. If Lebanon is concerned than they should
have followed the resolution 1559 set by the U.N. It says that
they were supposed to disban the Hezbollah in their country.
Well, they didn't and now without Lebanon's permission. The
Hezbollah have started a war with Israel. Maybe Lebanon will
think twice now. However it is too late because Iran is backing
the Hezbollah with soldiers and weapons and Syria is supporting
the Hezbollah also. Not Lebanon. The Hezbollah. They are in
charge of Lebanon.

99.9 % of the time the U.S.A. are in favor of israel. It might be because their allies. It might be because their are so many jews in the u.s.a. And most of the jewish people here are very rich and influential people. Of course the government won't do anything to upset those rich and influential people. Just think who was head of the Federal Reserve? Alan Greenspan, a jew. Their important for the U.S. so they don't wanna mess things up by actually siding with a country that has a war with israel.

the Lebanese government supports Hizbollah, so technically, Lebanon did start this war. and i have no sympathy for Lebanon or Hizbollah.
