Most likely is a result of your GI tract absorbing all of the water in your stool. This usually happens constipation. This is a slowing of your GI tract resulting in very dehydrated stool ("pellets"). It could be the result of medications you are taking.

It could be many things.
1) constipation - How's your diet and fluid intake?
2) coielic disease, intolerance to wheat and it's by-products (very general definition)
3) Diabetic by any chance?
4) Do you take any regular ie; daily meds?
Basically see your doctor.
