it might be your computers to old or else virus and also check behind the CPU and look at the mouse connection and see if it is loose or else unplug it and then put it back in :)

the most likely cause is a problem with the CPU. If your computer is really old the CPU might not have enough power to process everything. You also probably have lots of viruses which you do not see and they take up a lot of space.

Is your mouse plugged in all of the way? Your mouse might be going bad. You might try plugging in another one if you have one laying around and see if it is still freezing. If it stops freezing you know if was your mouse. If it keeps freezing you might have spywhere or a virus on your computer.
