Circumcisions are done to help protect the baby from infections that could happen to the penis when they are older. If you do not get him circumsized, you will have to work with him on pulling the skin back very often and cleaning underneath as well. The best type of circumcision is the PlastiBel. There is no cutting with a tool involved, no gauze and all you have to do is apply Neosporin for a week or so afterwards and the foreskin and tool fall off by itself.

Just do it before he is 8 days old. The neurological sleep state that occurs for the first 8-21 days starts to go away then.
Children when they are just born show no difference in waking and sleeping brainwave functions. So don't worry about hurting him at that point. If you wait, then it will be under cousiousness rather than semi to unconsiousness.

I don't know of any websites but the hospital will point you in the direction of a pediatrician that will do it for you. my insurance didn't cover my sons we had to pay cash. I suggest that you get it done less infection is involved. your OB probably can give you info also.
good luck

You can't spell circumcision, yet you're bearing a child.
Good luck.
