Grin. Why is it I answer loaded questions :)
You are probably going to pray for my soul tonight, but remember you did ask.
When I was in high school I had a friend who realized he was gay. He was too scared to go to the library to read up on it ( this was the time before personal PCs) so I would go with him. My friend did not want to be gay...but he was.
In college, and at work, I had the opportunity to meet other gays. These guys would rather be straight, but weren't, so they made the best of it and went on to successful careers, and partners of the same sex.
I think gayness is not a choice, with my friends it wasn't a choice, but is something we are born with...too much, or not enough of some chemical.
When you fall in love, you want to be with that person, form a family. Gays are the same way. It is not their fault that Joe's soulmate is named Henry.
So, yes, I believe Joe should be able to marry his sweetie Henry.
This may never happen though because gaydom is so misunderstood ,and straight guys are afraid of, err, I don't know what they are afraid of, being asked out? Having their butts pinched???
Anyways as long as straight guys don't want anything to do with gay guys, or try to understand gay guys, gay marriage just will not happen.
Sooo...since they would marry if they could, I think gays should be able to carry their partners on their insurance policies and legally have the same rights of married folks.. there should be someway of doing that.
And while I am on this question, what does being devotedly Christian and MAJORLY disagreeing with gay marriage have to do with each other???
God created us, warts and all. Chemical imbalances and all.
God set us all on this Earth to love Him, and to love each other.
Most gays are good citizens. They are creative, intelligent, and the ones I knew believed in God and attended church.
There, even though I did not answer the question the way you wanted me to, I answered the question to the best of my ability.
Take care...and if you are curious, I am a straight gal who loves her guy with all her heart.

Why shouldn't they? So they can't procreate...big deal. Love is love. I mean...I've heard "devote christians" say that our souls are sexless. So..when two souls find each other, they can't be with each other because of their bodies? That's like saying a fat guy can't marry a supermodel. Okay, okay...a sterile fat guy can't be with a supermodel. How do you know God doesn't approve? Have you met him/her? Last time a checked, men (humans) wrote the bible. I suppose it can't be possible that they'd sneak in their own personal preferences? I mean really...who are they hurting? I'm married, with 3 kids to a beautiful wife...so God looks favorably upon me? Ask yourself this, and try to use eyes not covered by past beliefs....how can true love EVER be wrong? I mean...don't we have banners that say "God is Love"? Now the devil has expanded into love? Isn't it christians that used to believe in witches? Did you guys test these potentials by drowning them? Yeah, you'd try to drowned them and if they LIVED they were definitely witches. I thought the USA was created to allow religious freedom...and yet, we live in one of the most religiously oppressed nations on earth. Thanks, devote christian. Here's the deal, NONE of us knows God's plan. NONE of us know EVERYTHING she/he finds right and wrong. If they're wrong, I guess they'll find out won't they. It's not up to you and I to judge them. As long as no one is getting hurt, and they truly love each other...let them marry, live together and raise a family. Oh yeah, and to that person that asks why they have to "advertise"....THEY ARE OPPRESSED! Hope you can find enlightenment and some acceptance. Later, Matt.

if was meant for man to be gay God would have made Adam and Steve, I don't think it should be allowed and there has got to be something wrong with your brain if you think having sex with another man is the right thing to do, I mean good lord does your dog do your cat, no becaise they have brains enough to know it is wrong.

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Adam and Eve...Not Adam and Evan!

i think everyone should be able to marry whom ever they choose, but why do gays have to advertise their will to marry, Straight people don't go around bringing attention to their sexuality so why do gays? Just do what you want and leave everyone else out of it.

It is wrong and should never be legal. It is a gross and dirty lifestyle choice. I also believe that they should have no right to have or adopt kids. It will screw them up for life.

I don't want anyone looking into MY bedroom and telling me who I can and who I can't have sex with. Why should we impose it on others?
