What types of careers can one have after majoring in either of these fields?

I have a BA in English and spent the two years after graduation working overseas as an EFL teacher. I'm currently back in my hometown working as an ESL teacher at a community college. In September, I'm going back to university to pursue a B.Ed in Secondary Langauge Arts Education. Job opportunities really depend on where you live and the current economic climate there. Liberal Arts? We can do anything! I majored in History with a minor in lit and have known others in the same boat to become doctors, lawyers, salesmen, bankers, middle management, etc. Some, but not all, went to school after they graduated. But then again, it is no secret that a liberal arts major is someone who really doesn't know what they want to do except maybe compete on Jeopardy!
