The only things that work reliably on Yahoo are the banner advertisements and the pay services, like Yahoo Personals. I just clicked on "Answer Open Questions" in "all categories" and it told me "Drat, there are no questions here. Try another category" I tried this 5 times and got the same result. Better get your act together Yahoo.

I've been patient with Yahoo for over 3 years since I first signed up. Their technical problems are getting more frequent.

No Ben, you are not right. We have a right to expect a product to work as advertised. Yahoo has more than its share of technical problems, especially with the "Discuss" feature on the news stories.

Kinda bitter for someone using a free service?
Answers is in "beta" phase meaning things will work well sometimes and not, sometimes.
If you visit the forums (link in upper right) you can make some suggestions there.

There are infinite paths in a program open to the world. Given the amount of people and possibilities, there is no way for any company (even on as huge as Yahoo) to be prepared to handle all situations. Because Yahoo is so big, when you run in to a problem you can either except it to be fixed quickly, or you can report it to them. Bugs are common, and nothing can be perfect.

The reason this error message came up was because they were updating the site, which doesn't happen that often. Even then, it didn't take them long at all to get the site back up again. You can read about the changes they made in their blog entry linked belwo.

the same thing happened to me so i exited out waited five minutes, logged in, then it started to work again
for everybody it hasnt been working.
