The government issued travel warnings for the middle east countries for a long time. The government of this country accepts some responsibilty for protecting you within this country's borders and, to a far lesser extent, in other, friendly countries. If you choose to live or vacation in a country that is controlled by terrorists (Hezbollah) funded by anti-American states (Syria, Iran), then you are going to have to accept that risk.
That all being said, the government (or "George Bush", as you'd like to call it) IS sending escorted cruise ships to aid in the evacuation of those poor citizens that are not getting any "leadership".

Would you like some cheese with that whine?
I have got to say, this is some of the best back seat driving that I have ever seen.
You all shouldn't be waisting time asking questions on this website, you should be out solving world hunger, creating world peace, or teaching pink elephants to fly.
To the person below - GET OUT. You husband is in the military, and he had to go to a war zone! That is just crazy. I would never have seen that coming. I bet the hundred's of thousands of Americans who fought in WWII for years on end were shocked as hell when they were sent overseas too.

Kach
Kahane Chai
Description
Stated goal is to restore the biblical state of Israel. Kach (founded by radical Israeli-American rabbi Meir Kahane) and its offshoot Kahane Chai, which means "Kahane Lives," (founded by Meir Kahane’s son Binyamin following his father’s assassination in the United States) were declared to be terrorist organizations in March 1994 by the Israeli Cabinet under the 1948 Terrorism Law. This followed the groups’ statements in support of Dr. Baruch Goldstein’s attack in February 1994 on the al-Ibrahimi Mosque— Goldstein was affiliated with Kach—and their verbal attacks on the Israeli Government. Palestinian gunmen killed Binyamin Kahane and his wife in a drive-by shooting in December 2000 in the West Bank.
Activities
The group has organized protests against the Israeli Government. Kach has harassed and threatened Arabs, Palestinians, and Israeli Government officials. Has vowed revenge for the deaths of Binyamin Kahane and his wife. Suspected of involvement in a number of low-level attacks since the start of the al-Aqsa intifadah.
Strength
Unknown.
Location/Area of Operation
Israel and West Bank settlements, particularly Qiryat Arba' in Hebron.
External Aid
Receives support from sympathizers in the United States and Europe.

well hmmm do you even need to think about that one? firstly he has "thought" about them, they have been asked to evacuate and secondly he already has most of the middle east against him and america so why get involved and make lebiz anti-american aswell? obviously he is aware of what would happen if he did get involved beacuse since when has america ever been able to mind thier own bussiness?

I'm so ashamed to have him as president becuase he's always talking about protecting our countries as well as others but when it comes to trapped American soldiers he hesitates to rescue them. He is sending a cruise ship/ helicopters to save them.
