They grow up shielded and protected from reality - their wealthy parents don't want them associating with the working class, and seeing how the other half live. So by the time they reach college, they have a protected point of view and don't understand the problems of the world. They're also so spoiled that they can't have an intelligent conversation about them - too used to whining to get what they want.

Do the conservatives not see that G.W.B has in fact help catalyse WW3?

Do they not see that congress just voted to not change minimum wage?

Do they not see that the WMD were not there (the ones they found, werent even the ones the originally talking about, and they were 30 years old)

Do they not see that Haliburton and big companies are thriving on the deaths of american soldiers.

Do they not see that G.W.B is a dangerous evangalistic fascist whos said, "I am the decider", he also wrote on a couple of christmas cards last year, "Happy Appocalypse".

Do they not see that the poor get poorer while the rich get richer?

Do they not see that values that G.W.B thrive on such as abortion, gay marriage, and other "family values" will not be solved in this administration or any other?

Do they not see that Bush administration were sent memos prior to 9/11 warning them of attacks but choosed to ignore them?

Do they not see that G.W.B is easier on Iran than on Iraq, because if we attacked Iran, the Iranians would light up the oil wells?

At the looks of it, it seems that it is actually the democrats that are not blind. But the republican conservatives who are blinding the people that choose to be ignorant, like yourself.

The vagueness of your question suggests that you don't actually know any rich white liberals, and are just making assumptions. Can you provide names or examples of who you're referring to when you make these accusations about rich white liberals? What gave you the impression that they're clueless? And what realities? We all live in our own reality, so saying "realities of life on earth" is not saying much.

I agree with derekjw...it's mostly conservatives that are rich and blind...let's not forget that in the 19th century had some of the best liberal presidents...Kennedy, Roosevelt, LBJ, Carter...to name a few....

As i learned in Political Science in college, liberals mostly care about the lower to middle classes while conservatives concentrate more on the upper to business class (meaning themselves)

I'm looking at a chart right now from that course and it clearly shows major views...liberals are FOR spending more on healthcare, (better) education, environment, social security, aid for blacks, and on welfare...while the conservatives are far below the liberal position.

My way of existence sucks so undesirable some thing may be better. Socialism or communism may be better than this depressing existence. I stay contained in the perfect usa contained in the international and existence quite sucks. i am going to't imagine how undesirable some thing have it if it truly is the case undesirable. My authorities and a guy driving a camel on the different aspect of the international are an similar. Neither one provide a sh!t about me.

but, your question did bring to mind the "realities" that conservatives have no concept of... like "teen abstinence"... teens will have sex... hoping they won't is not going to cut it... if you ignore it, it just makes them hide it and then get more diseases and pregnancies, because they don't know the dangers...

also... the realities in Iraq... it was not a terrorist state when we invaded... it has turned into one since though? good job with that one....

I am a white liberal.. not rich... and I am niether clueless nor blind, so either you are making gross generalizations about something you don't know much about, or money will make me clueless and blind, which I find hard to believe...

what makes you think that all the rich white people are liberals? Don't forget that the "conservative Republicans" collect more individual donations, and more money from the individual donors than the "liberal Democrats" do. So it would seem to me that most of the "rich white" people are conservatives, unless you think that "liberals" are donating to the Republicans.

Did you have someone in mind? My experience is that many successful people, both liberal and conservative, are very much aware and compassionate about the "realities of life". Very good recent examples are Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, who happen to be conservatives, but many of Hollywood's wealthy liberals have worked hard in behalf of the needy, and shared their wealth.
