Probably your mucous plug. It's a good sign, means that labor will happen... sooner or later. It means your cervix is getting ready to open up.

my labor started that way i called the ob about the slight bleeding they had me go to labor and delivery right then, i was contraction but, did not feel it till a few hours later 6 hours after the blood i was a mom. CALL THE DOCTOR

you can get you "show" or mucous plug up to a week before labour actually starts so i reckon you just rest and wait it out. don't be worried if contractions havent started yet.it will soon.
