It depends on what you mean by constantly. If you mean on and off during the day, almost every day then that's okay. However, if you mean non-stop, 24/7 that can be a problem. When my Mom was pregnant with me she noticed I had the hiccups for 2 days straight, they never stopped. She was 36 weeks so they induced her. They found out I had a bowel obstruction and wasn't getting any nutrition from her. They wanted to operate but my parents said no, it is in God's hands. The doctors gave me a 50/50 chance of living. Needless to say, I am 37 years old now with 3 children of my own and baby # 4 due in January. Whatever caused the block cleared up 2 days later and I was fine.
I don't mean to worry you. Many babies get hiccups. All of mine have. I just wanted to let you know that hiccups that don't stop, that are 24/7 can be the sign that something is wrong. If you are concerned, just talk to you OB/GYN so they can check you out.
Best of luck!

"I sometimes feel regular little spasms in my abdomen. Is this kicking, or a twitch, or what?
Believe it or not, your baby's probably got hiccups, a phenomenon not uncommon among fetuses during the last half of pregnancy. Some get hiccups several times a day, every day. Others never get them at all. The same pattern may continue after birth.
But before you start holding a paper bag over your belly, you should know that hiccups don't cause the same discomfort in babies (in or out of the uterus) as they do in adults, even when they last twenty minutes or more. So just relax, and enjoy this little entertainment from within"

According to MY mother I had the hiccups a lot of the time when she was pregnant with me. I came out just fine. My baby has the hiccups a lot too so I guess he takes after his mother. Personally I think it's cute to listen to the hiccups over the doppler.

Yes. My son had the hiccups a lot. My family thought it was hilarious watching my stomach jump from all the hiccups.

Yes the baby's okay. My daughter always had hiccups while I was pregnant. She's 14 months old, and still gets them alot. I say its the sign of a growing baby. Congrats!
