Ah, dude, it is not a "problem" in the US. So I would like to know what the f--k is your problem? We have this small clause which reads, "the right of the people to keep an bare arms shall not be infringed." It is NOT a problem. The problem is social disorganization due to neighborhood dysfunctionality, and Differential Association within the brackets of Social learning, along with a propensity towards Skinners conditioning due to the rewards for unlawful behavior within the context of Neutralization of rational that form a propensity toward criminal activity, and violence.
But I am sure you would rather the stupid simple answer, right?

Why don't YOU get right out there and 'tackle' this problem, you know, risk YOUR *** instead of asking someone else to? What is the government, santa claus? Do something positive...join your neighborhood group that watches over stuff, support your local police dept. etc. If you see crimes, use the emergency hotline to report it. Lock up your stuff, don't leave valuables in plain sight, be aware in your neighborhood if you've got people hanging around that you don't know/don't look like they belong etc.
Crime-fighting isn't rocket science, people just gotta participate...

America, Russia and Israel are the worlds largest manufacturers and suppliers of weapons, you'll notice none of the country's are black. If Africa started exporting and manufacturing weapons on there scale they would want to take them off the blacks straight away, problem is blacks don't have enough weapons and until they do nobody will want to take them off them....It's a bit of a catch 22 situation...

guns kill poeple,what the hell would a average joe need on for, thats what we have government for,also to shoot someone hell man you got to be military or police or sick to think of it that way.blacks,rednecks all the same i carry a gun ,no guarentee for my life though,but 911 and government must spend as needed for poeple safty..tackle the problem not possible there are over 100,000,000guns out there worldwide and every year wes makes more ,cheap too...

The Americans learned their lessons well form the British, if the people don't have arms the governments can oppress who they rule over, and we have a constitutional right to bare arms. It is just the gang members can have them to. And if you took the arms away form the average American, the criminals and gang members would still have them.

not exactly sure about your question but I am sure that the right to keep and bear arms is what distinguishes citizens from subjects. Our founding fathers knew the importance of that and made sure that we would always have that right, whether we needed to defend ourselves from invading forces or our own government.
