I want to take some Region 2 DVDs that I own and I want to know if it is possible to burn it to a DVDR so that it can play on a Region 1 only player. Is this possible?

You need to rip them using your region 2 player and you'd probably need a region 1 burner.

Once the film is in an mpg format, you just need to create a new disk as if you were making a home movie on a region 1 burner.
