The Palestinians have run from the possibility of peace at every turn and have institutionalized the military welfare state supported by other Arab states. Palestine cannot accept anything less than the complete destruction of Israel, so there cannot be peace until the forces that support Palestine are willing to accept Israel in peace.

"What did Palestine ever do wrong?" Well, we could start with the fact that they've never wanted there to be a Jewish state. The Jews got the land the right way. Starting in 1881 when the Jews were running from persecution, they bought the land from Ottoman and individual Arab landholders. After the Jews established settlements is when the tensions sky rocketed between Jews and Arabs. It's mostly been the Arabs that start the riots, fights, and wars. And this new round of fighting began in June after Hamas militants crossed the border and captured an Israeli soldier. Rightfully so, Israel sent troops over. Then a few days ago Hesbollah militants caputred 2 Israeli soldiers. Now Hesbollah has declared an "open war" on Israel. So, basically, Israelis are just trying to protect themselves and their country. How can we, after going to war after 9/11, try to fault a country for protecting itself?

Perhaps you should brush up on history a little before you start asking such asinine questions.

By the way the name Israel doesn't go in quotation marks. That's the actual name of the country.

I have been listening about the situation in the Middle East all my life, since early childhood, mostly in the TV news. I've always been very interested in it. And I've always been on the Israeli side, the only side that ever made any sense in that region. I live in a part of the world that has nothing to do with either Israelis, or Arabs, so I think it gives me a chance to have an objective point of view. And this is what I have to tell you - first of all, some people would call you 'Nazi queen', but I won't, because I'm not here to insult people. Secondly, the Israelis don't 'get funding to hurt innocent people', they don't live on welfare and donations, they actually work for living, work very hard, earn their own money, some of which they use to buy weapons to defend themselves against terrorists who are very loudly repeating that they want to wipe them of the face of Earth. While teenagers all over the world at the ages of 17, 18 or 19 get enrolled into colleges and universities, young Israelis spend three years of their life in the military service, because they have to learn how to protect themselves, their families, friends and fellow citizens from the evil that's surrounding them. Some of them are even 'lucky enough' to get kidnapped while on duty, like Cpl. Shalit. And who was it, who was it that kidnapped him... oh, the Palestinis!! That was very wrong and very stupid of them! A few days before that, they kidnapped and killed a young Israeli student who was traveling from home to school, or vice versa. And what about all those times when Palestinian suicide bombers killed dozzens of people in one attack, and there were so many attacks, like, for example, in the middle of Tel-Aviv, at a market, in a bus, in the middle of the street, everywhere and anywhere! Those were civilians, those were innocent people, or maybe the Israeli civilian victims don't count in your twisted little brain!?!?

Israel has been bombed by Hezbollah and Hamas,part of the Palestine group, since day one that Israel became a country again.
Both Hezbollah and Hamas shoot rockets and missiles daily into Israel and this seems to be ok with you?
Israel has killed civilians but compared to the hundreds and even thousands that the two terrorist groups have it is a small comparison. Israel drop leaf lets into the area where they are going to bomb........does either Hezbollah or Hamas do this?
Hezbollah hides in the civilian population to keep themselves from being targeted but Israel has finally said enough is enough.
The Palestinians continue to use car bombing in well populated civilian areas and you have the gaul to ask what they have ever done wrong?
The main purpose of both terrorist groups is to kill ALL JEWISH people so that there is now left!!!!!!!!!

Try reading the history books. Israel, made up of Jews, started a country that was help created by the US and the UN. The fighting is between the Jews and Arabs. Israel has every right to defend their people and their country. I don't know where you get your information, but you need to find a better source.

Your asking the wrong questions. We stand by Israel because they are innocent people who have Always been attacked and oppressed for no reason. Now that they are trying to do something to protect their nation you get mad. Get your facts right

To answer why:Israel is a soveriegn state that has been invaded twice recently by Hamas and Hezbollah both paramilitary groups.

Their is a long litany of Palestianian terrorism. The PLO killed Israeli atheletes in Munich, bombed buses, and made suicide bombing a way of life. In return for what Israel granted them land and statehood, they elected to government another "we will destroy Israel" group, Hamas.

So you tell me, you negotiate for stoppage of violence, you give land, statehood and everything else. Where did that get the state of Israel? Nowhere.
