please help me! I haven't had my period since I started my diet May 1, 2006. I am not pregnant, I have tested many times (blood test, urine test, home tests). I have lost 45 pounds since 5/1/06, and I am wondering if there is anyway I can get pregnant? How can I go about getting pregnant? This would be my second child, I had a son on 07-31-05. thanks for your help people!

A woman's body is pretty amazing. It "knows" when it is not in a situation that is right for bringing a healthy baby into the world. Consequently, women who are exercising too much, not eating a healthy diet, too stressed out, etc., are not creating an environment that is conducive for bringing a healthy child into the world. As a result, the woman's body resists becoming pregnant. Until you get your health under control, your body will "fight" against getting pregnant.

Sometimes dramatic weightloss causes your body "shut down production" for a while. Let your weight balance out or slow down the rate at which you are losing weight and things should be back to normal.

you dropped way too much weight in a short period of time, you have starved yourself to the point of having amenorreaha, this is serious. go see your doc immediately.
