Seven dust and Seven spray will get rid of your insects. It is not harmful to people and pets.

Of course, you could collect the catapillars, use them to catch some fish, and season the fish with your fresh herbs!

I always try to use natural ways to repel bugs and such before I pull out the big guns and what I remember that my father did to keep "plant-eaters" away from his garden was to plant marigolds in with his "crop." I have done this for the past 20 years and it works for me.
And if you want to keep animals away, try using ground black pepper. Lemon has helped to keep cats out of my soft dirt too.
When I absolutely have to pull out the heavy artillery, I usually will use seven dust......but that is a last resort for me. A few caterpillars are OK with me since they eventually turn into butterflies. ;-)
