Why didn't anybody correlate the kidnapping of the two Israeli soldiers with the 9000 Lebanese and Palestinians in Israeli prisons without charge but are shouting with arrogance in support of Israel as it murders thousands of innocent and harmless citizens in Lebanon? I think if Israel wants to settle a score with Hezbollah, it must be military to military not military to innocent and harmless babies, old women and the sick who have no means to defend themselves. To refresh your memory, ISRAELI SOLDIERS were kidnapped, not innocent civilians.

I think by failing to acknowledge in any of your answers that they were 9000 Palestinians and Lebanese in Israeli prisons before those soldiers were kidnapped shows the depth of your arrogance. And to the few of you talking about the innocent of the Israeli side, I deeply feel for them too that's what I said military to military. Until you realize that the people who are not westerners are human too with the same aspirations and view the lost of their loved ones (regardless how the killer is known; terrorist, soldier) as a terrible tragedy who will always ask the question: "Why do the hate us?"

So Israel should stand by and be picked off one at a time? All war is wrong. once it starts everyone says well they did this to us so we're gonna go do it to them andthen the other side says the same thing. Both sides are killing innocents that is the nature of war those that make them rarely suffer in them and die for them. What about the daily bombing going on in Israel according to you that is OK then those people who died in those bombings are not innocents? are their lives worth less? unless you condem both sides you have no validity to talk about innocent people becaues ther are innocents on both sides and killers on both sides. If you're gonna talk get it right

"If Israel wants settle a score with Hezbollah it must be military to military..."

Hezbollah IS civilians. It is not an army, it is not a country, it does not represent a country. In fact it sounds like its not even very Lebanese other than its choice of a jumping off point. I'm sure Israel would be very happy to have the kind of fight you're talking about. It would no doubt win very handily. But what do you do against an "enemy" that has no country -- meaning it has no territory of its own to sacrifice; it has no army -- meaning that anyone who dies on its side is by definition a civilian; and has no scrupples in that it puts those innocent and harmless babies you refer to in harm's way by launching its rockets from their backyards and neighborhoods?

I'm sure Israel wants to settle a score with Hezbollah -- and from the sounds of it, I think there are several other countries, Arab and western, that would like a whack at them -- but let's not forget that Hezbollah brought this on by kidnapping an Israeli soldier during peacetime on Israeli soil. What did they think they were going to get, a slap on the wrist? Ignored? Whatever they wanted?

In matters such as these, as both Hezbollah and Israel know very well, you do not offer a pretext unless you are ready for the consequences. Hezbollah offered the pretext and it is getting the response.

Unfortunately it is the people they put in harm's way with their irresponsible acts that are going to pay a disproportionate amount of the price. That's cowardice.

Quit defending them.

do not problem about the destruction of Israel only yet. If Hezbollah calls this modern wrestle a victory i'd hate to be certain Lebanon after defeat. The Arabs interior the middle east that see this modern wrestle as victory and an illustration of weak point in Israel must be very care finished, next time Hezbollah and or Syria tries to tug yet another stunt like the only accurate one Israel wont stop after somewhat collateral harm. They extra proper desire the UN rigidity receives into Lebanon before Israel ameliorations their recommendations about the ceasefire!! yet to reply to the question what then if someone succeeds in destroying Israel, the answer is nuclear sparkling-up for a tremendous kind of the middle east. the reason being that they only way that Israel receives destroyed is by using a Nuclear Bomb noted by using a valuable reaction by using Israel. Very gruesome.

Hezbollah not only kidnapped two of Israel's soldiers, but they attacked Israel from Lebanon. You know what, it's Hezballah, and Lebanon that put their innocent people at risk when they waged war against Israel! I say, YOU GO to Israel. It's about damned time they start fighting these terrorists back!

Hezbollah overtly declared war on Israel. Israel is fighting back. You don't let a foreign power kidnap and murder your soldiers and do nothing about it.

Isn't Hezbollah shooting at Israel from residential areas? Typical of lowlife scum Islamo-Nazis.... hiding rockets in private homes, and shooting them off from the roofs of hospitals. It doesn't get any more dispicable than that.

It's very clever. If Israel shoots back, they almost certainly will hit civilians. This makes them the bad guys. Hezbollah gets to shoot as many rockets and missles as they want, with no public criticism.

It's not murder when war is being waged.

And it's not "for the sake of two" but for the sake of all the Jews of Israel.

The Hezbollah and the Hamas cults must be destroyed.

On the flip side, was it worth it to hesbollah to kidnap those two. They initiated what is happening now, blame them.

If my countrymen were kidnapped, I would want the country that did it leveled. Israel is well with in their rights to retaliate.
