What a way to feed off the destitute eh? Land at a minimum price, workers willing to work for low wages. You can buy land build homes and businesses then sell to the highest bidder and make a killing. That is the only reason I could think of.

I suppose they know that is the price you pay for living if FL. I live in MS and the housing here has boomed too. I think it is due mainly to locals who lost everything. All of these people are looking for a place to call home. Could be the same in your area.

GOOD QUESTION!
A question I always had at the back of my mind.
All previous answers were great!
I don't need to add more, except that lately (maybe because of the wacky weather pattern), the aligators are eating the humans.
Overcrowding, people jamming everywhere for a roof over their heads albeit temporarily...
My, My, it's kinda like a joke. A sad joke.

Haha, I want to move to FL & probably will once I graduate. (I currently live in AL) I guess people feel that the worst will not happen to them.... I want to move there for the simple fact that my boyfriend will make a lot of money in his field BECAUSE of the hurricanes. Also, I know a lot of people from up north are moving there & I don't think they realize the severity of hurricanes & what they can do.

I think U can track back the increase of Hurricanes/Tornados on Global Warming.
Complain, write letters & make a nusinence of UR self in the papers.
Let the rest of the US know what's going on.
