We have never heard of these people & we have lived in the home for over 13 yrs. These are not the previous owners. LOTS of mail from refinance companies & banks that show these people as owners. Banks don't have a clue what to do & are not helpful.

Has anyone heard of this?

One small mistake on someones part on line perhaps has resulting in you being inundated with stuff. Maybe someone was trying to refinance their house and somehow typed in the wrong address and it just happened to be yours.

If you do not check a company before entering into a transaction, you could lose your money, time and credibility. Some widely used resources are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center (www.fraud.org) these days, you can easily find out more about a company using the internet in a few minutes. From a company's website, you can details about its ownership, how old the company really is and feedback from the company's customers.

Yes, you should be very concerned. Someone could have stolen your identity and used it to obtain credit in your name. I was a victim of identity theft, not on this large of a scale, but it can have devastating results for you and your family. I had to work several months to have my credit restored and it involved a lot of time and paperwork on my end. You need to get a copy of your credit report from the 3 credit reporting agencies, Experion, Equifax and TransUnion. Look at your reports for any fraudulent transactions and if you find any, you will have to report them to the credit bureaus asap so they can put a fraud watch on your account. Good luck.

Check the county records, sounds like you might have an error in the recording of your deed. Also, go to the site below and check your credit report for free, to be sure there's nothing nefarious going on. This is the free site from the feds, not one of those commercial sites that tricks you into paying for a "free" report.

Bring it to the attention of the Postmaster- then just throw those things away. Companies will do anything to gain new business- including sending stuff to people in other people's names!
