The fine line refers to someone loving another and for some reason that love is not given back to them and because either the hurt from that is so deep or the rejection so difficult, demeaning for them that they will resent, hate the other person. Whenever one deals with emotions they are interchangeable, often unpredictable and can be even dangerous. Usually when love turns to hate its because that particular person is already unstable and fixated on that one emotion and expects it to be returned-because they love then they should be loved back and ignore and /or unable to grasp Choice. There is no reversed meaning though and there is no misunderstanding between love and hate for they are emotions totally opposite to each other. Both are also very strong and very different from each other emotions and very easily distinguished fro m each other. Revenge is motivated only by hate never by love.

There may be a fine line, but when you say you hate someone I think most of the time -- you really hate them!

The 2 are very close in emotion intesity, so, yes they are very close, and there IS a very fine line between the 2... usually, its easier for love to turn to hate, than the other way around, because love can actually make you dig deeper, and probably find something you dont want to know, and start to repulse and hate.. as for the other way around... hate doesent give you time to search for something else... although sometimes, the reflection of yourself is what you hate or what you dont like in another person, and you eventually start acepting it like you would with yourself, and eventually love it, but this last one is not common...

Only if it's a "love-hate" relationship. Otherwise, you probably hate them. Depends. Love and hate are strong emotions, and could quite possibly get mixed up. I don't hate anyone, but I love a lot of people. I hate the local newspaper, but I don't love it. I hate eggplant without loving it. You could love someone, and hate them if they disappoint you. You can love the sun and hate it if it burns you. Maybe you love chocolate cake, but hate it because you can't resist it.

No,
when you hate someone then your clearly saying you hate them but that you care enough to hate them otherwise you'd just dislike them or be indifferent.
If your feeling annoyed with some one or just angry that can be balanced with loveing said person.

You're saying you love to hate them. So yes, you are telling them you love them. In a different way of course. Either way...You either love them or love to hate them.
