I think that all women have the choice to do what they want. I get tired of people saying that a women is a murder and unhuman because she had an abortion. My best friend had an abortion and she beats herself up enough without the help of anyone else. My friend knows that it was wrong and would go back and change everything if she could. She is afraid she will never have kids again and she feels that would only be fair and god would be right for not letting her become a mother, she is a good person and she doesnt need everyone telling her how wrong she is. I personally dont believe in an abortion and thats why Im 9 months pregnant and plan on having my baby boy any day now, and Im very happy about my child. But I believe that it is wrong for me and I only can speak for myself. Who am I too tell someone else what to do with there life. And everyone says if you dont want to have a child you can also do aboption but there are plenty of women out there who dont want the child and dont put it up for aboption. The child doesnt get taken away and may end up growing up with parents who dont care, and sometimes the child grows up in around drugs and sometimes are raped. But that would be better then a child ever being born, or so some think. What about drug dealers, rapist, or other criminals....we all know that they are wrong for what they do but a lot of them have grown up in a bad inviroment and were never rescued from it.(Im not giving them away out or an excuse but it does happen, I believe no matter if they were raised that way then they should try and do better) Honestly though I would rather a mother have an aboortion then have an innocent child grow up in that inviroment. I think that if you believe that an abortion is wrong becasue its not right by god, then thats good for you. And if you are happy with your relationship with god then thats all that matters and dont worry about anyone elses relationship with god. I think that if people have such a problem with abortion do something to help the people that feel like its there only option. I would never judge someone else because I know that its not easy to have an abortion. I actually said when I read the home pregnancy test that I was going to have an abortion, twenty minutes later I felt like the worse person for even saying it....but anyway My whole point is everyone needs to worry about themselves and dont judge someone else.

You are actually arguing that life starts before conception, which is not a legally valid view and very few people believe that.
There is a difference between criminal and unethical behavior. I can legally fire someone for having red hair but it is not ethical.
Also when something is ethical or not ethical, it requires a veiwpoint, many people don't hold the viewpoint that a blastula or embryo has the same moral status as a child at the time of birth.
Some people hold the viewpoint that the benefit to society of having the government protect a person's soverignty over their body outweighs the beneifts to society of punishing women who terminate their pregnancies.
There are many customs that most american's follow (even pro-life americans) that indicate that they don't think that an embryo or fetus has the same moral status as a child:
One example is that there are no funerals for miscarriages, even for pro-life churches.
Another example is that if a child is born and then dies later, the mother would NEVER give her next child the same name, but with misscarriages this happens all the time, even for pro-life families.
Another example is that pro-life people do not call in and report miscarriages as deaths to their local police department.
Hope that answers your question.

I have always agreed life starts at conception. It is to deny the very facts of science to think otherwise. All of the foundation is set for everything about you, hair, eyes, DNA, your gender, forever when the sperm meets egg. regardless OF the science involved a TON of pregnancies will naturally end before implantion or before 12 weeks. The chances of miscarriage before 12 weeks is as high at 30%. Yes, it's a human life. It's not a blob. When all is said and done you can not tell other people what they are ALLOWED to do with their body. There are too many reason women abort it's only her choice. You can't make someone birth a child just because she has a womb. Yes i'll even agree it's killing IT'S NOT MY CHOICE. I would not do it however i personally feel I don't have the right to make someone else agree.

I agree ... abortion is murder
there are 2 things regarding the abortion debate that really aggravate me:
1) The animal rights people who care so much about the whales, fur-bearing animals etc., couldn't care less if tiny helpless human beings are being murdered
2) Abortion rights people still try to justify partial birth abortion by saying that it's for the health of the mother. I can't see anything that justifies delivering a baby all except for the head & then sucking the brains out. Sounds like some kind of torture devised by evil minds. And these are babies that are viable and able to live outside their mother!!
life is precious ... it's only selfishness that makes a person choose abortion instead of adoption
[Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. This issue just really angers me & breaks my heart.]

I guess its all a matter of opinion as to when life actually starts. Personally I am against abortions (expect in a few rare cases like rape, incest, or when the pregnancy would kill the mother). I think it is wrong, it is murder, that life starts at conception and it is very wrong to terminate that life. But I am PRO CHOICE. Because I also strongly believe in the woman's right to choose. Its not fair for me to force my beliefs on someone else, just as I wouldn't want their beliefs forced on me. Besides what I really believe in is being SAFE. And I know that if abortions are made totally illegal then we would have a bunch of teenage girls/young women trying the coathanger-in-an-alley method and ending up really hurt or worse.

Yep abortion is murder. If I believe that human beings have a soul, and I believe a soul is a spirit. Then I also have to believe that a baby's life is a gift from the Creator. It's more than just a bunch of cells that are going to turn into a baby. It's our future leaders, being flushed down the drain.

first of all just so you know partical birth abortion is not where you deliver the babies head and then suck its brains out, but it is where they inject something into your amniotic fluid and it kills the baby. second i dont agree that abortion should be a form of birth control for women, that is just morally wrong, but there are times when even your dr would suggest it. i had a scare in my pregnancy where they thought my baby may have trisomy 18 and it does not allow a child to live, it causes mass deformaties in the child, and if you are lucky enough to carry the child full term the child then suffers until death which is usually hrs after birth now i ask this, why would any loving parent want to give birth to watch their child suffer the only hrs it has on earth...... so now you decide if it is considered murder or remorse for your child....

That's the argument the catholic church and most pro life groups have rallied around since day one (1) I am neither pro life nor pro choice as I fully believe it's the woman's choice not for any religion or goverment agency to decide. Though I do favor adoption over abortion as there are millions of husbands and wife's in this world that cannot have children of their own for whatever reason that would give everything they have to adopt a child regardless of where it came from.

All of human history agreed with you until the 1960s. Doctors used to take the Hipocratic Oath which included the promise not to perform abortions. There were no civil laws that allowed abortion anywhere. It is not a religious issue it is social issue.

It's not a crime but it should be. Yes I strongly feel that abortion is murder. I'm appalled at what some of these people are saying that it should be the choice of the "mother." I'm sorry but if you murder your own child you're nothing more than a selfish *****! Mother's don't murder their children. A lot of things in this world are unethical and abortion is one of them. 1% of abortions that take place are because the mother or child's health is at risk. 6% of all abortions occur because of rape. The other 93% occurs because of selfish women.
