Julio Lugo would definitely be the better back up SS. Good in average, speed, and runs. Decent power. Not a lot of RBI because he is near the top of the line up, but you're other players will make up for that. You should probably drop Beltre. He is in the tank. Not a lot of power and a terrible average. If he can't hit, he can't knock in runs and can't score runs. So he takes away from you're RBI and runs.

Julio Lugo all the way .. he can start on many teams .. right now he is on FIRE .. his last 18 games he's reached base 15 times.. IN THE FIRST INNING ALONE .. he was injured for part of the season and he is still up there at the top of the list with all the other short stops in the batting categories .. he does everything hits for average, can steal, and has some power.. you gotta go with Lugo definetly ..
When he gets traded to a good team you all will see just how good he is ..
oh and you gotta definetly drop Beltre .. most leagues he's not even on a team

definently lugo he gets steals and hits for a better average than greene, advice:never get greene on a fantasy team he is more defensive then offensive he cant give u help in any offensive stat except maybe runs scored but the terrible average will drag that down go with lugo---u still have beltre!!!! that expieriment ended long ago drop him, hang on to shelton he is due for a breakout out month soon and randy winn will play often with that old OF in san fran but the guy u drop is a no brainer look at adrians stats he has a pityful average and cant provide power for some reason winn can help ur average and shelton can help power

Julio Lugo is the way to go.
If you have a good option at 1B, feel free to drop Shelton. If not, I'd drop Winn.

Who's your starting SS? Do you really need to carry a backup? Normally, you would look for someone who could play multiple infield positions for your team so that you could use them as a stopgap for the 1 or 2 games a week that they may play. You are better off having an average player who can fill in when required and keeping other players like Shelton on your bench.

OMG - TAKE LUGO! I think I have him as my starting SS in two leagues...been on fire lately.
Um....not sure who to drop....maybe Shelton? you'd need to look at how all of them have been contributing to your team all year, and see if the other players you are keeping can keep you ahead without that person.

Lugo can give you steals and average. There are rumors he might get traded, so if he goes to a good team, he'll give you a lot of runs too.
