It depends on the state, and whether or not the divorce is contested. I know that my fiance's divorce will be final 6 months and one day from the date that his paperwork is filed with the court (His ex-wife currently lives in California, and that's where the divorce is coming from).

in oklahoma you can't get married until 6 months
