A Chinese-Muslim girl thanked me for showing her that not all Americans hate Muslims. I think I really made her day. I try to be as helpful as I can when answering questions. I also avoid being insulting and using snide remarks, regardless of how tempting it might be. Just remember, a little kindness can go a long way.

I believe so.
I've counseled two people through relationships crisis in and out of yahoo answers, and I've given people valid answers to finding various types of information online.
You don't have to do something massive, like save someone's life, to make a difference- even a small suggestion or piece of advice helps.

I'd like to think I have. Some have responded that my answers helped them. Others were just the General thank you and some others were voted, so no real accomplishment there. But I think I may have to at least one or two people.
