Your job can make you unhappy if you carry the stress home with you. Sometimes I can't sleep because I am thinking about everything I have to do the next day at work.

I have a dear friend who's been a bartender for thirteen years, and she hates the job (not really the work, so much, but more the place where she works and its management). But she needs the money so desperately, she's afraid to try searching for another job. It's causing her constant stress, migraines, all kinds of menstrual irregularities, anxiety attacks, insomnia, and other health problems. She is terribly unhappy, but I can't get her to even talk about making changes. It's so sad.... -RKO-

definitly. fear, harrassment, embarrassing conduct by others, poor personalities of co-workers, bad management, casting blame for someone else's actions, etc are all negatives in any work environment. If you're not looking forward to going to work, you won't be happy in the job. Unhappiness at work becomes unhappiness away from work. and vice-versa.

This is true.

I was so unhappy in my last job that I just walked out.

So, that means I do not have a job now and no income.

Am I crazy or what? :)

Do you know you have the power, not anyone else.

:) Peace to you always!

Yes, especially if there is not a good work/life balance. Sometimes we spend more time at work than we do at home because we have things we need to get done at work, then items at home start to pile up, and it down spirals from there. Make sure you get enough time away from work and make sure when you physically leave work, you mentally leave work also. Don't take your work home with you.
