As unlikely, as that seems, and as crazy as it sounds, I believe it. Yes, they are 12 games behind the Mets, but the Mets are the Mets (and thus bound to collapse down the stretch) and the Braves are the Braves (and thus bound to win the NL East). Chipper is healthy, this kid McCann is great, Renteria is doing well, Andruw Jones is Andruw Jones, plus John Smoltz will turn it up. There starting rotation is not all that great, but who else has a great starting 5 in the NL?
If they can win their remaining series with the Mets and mop up the rest of the division (which shouldn't be too hard with the Phils, Fish, and Nats), they will be in good shape to beat the Mets if not take the wild card. Stranger things have happened and I won't count the Braves out until they are mathematically eliminated.

Muts fans still sqwaking about hitting those two grand slams against the team with the 2nd worst record in the NL?
If I remember correctly in 1993 the Braves were down by a dozen or so games to the Dodgers in the NL West division and ended up winning it that year.
Admit it Muts fans, you're getting scared. Braves will have won 10 of their last 13 games after tonight and will take sole possession of 2nd in the NL East if the Phillies lose tonight.
Chipper is on fire, Betemit is on fire, McCann is on fire; LaRoche, Andruw, and Francouer are starting to have the seasons they should have had.
15 in a row! I believe!

The Braves are going nowhere, but it is nice you support your team.
The METS WILL acquire better pitching from teams goping sowhere so that they can get into and win the WS. Braves will not even make a playoff this year. BUT, wathc out next year. Bobby Cox has a lot to prove.

Shutup retard. The Braves suck.
There's no way in hell you can possibly believe a team with 19 blown saves is going anywhere.
LETS GO METS!
