It seems that I see alot of harassment to the people due to translation errors. Do we really want to do this? Is this typical? It breaks my heart to see it.

My guess? Because it's easier to mock someone else than it is to treat them with respect. And I share your disappointment with it.

Ever read the comments on liberal or conservative blogs? Some of them are intelligent and well-written, and I respect the writer even if I disagree with their point. But most comments are mean attacks on anyone that disagrees. It's too bad, because I think they could be a great source of open discussion if used correctly.

It could be due to the fact the it doesn't say right next to your name that you are not from America. I would never insult someone's grammer without first checking this information - but most people that are going to insult someone in this instance are too idiotic to realize that perhaps there is a language barrier. So I think that people rattle off insults without even realizing that they are insulting someone whose native language isn't English.

They're the people who aren't really intelligent enough to answer the question, but don't mind the negative attention they get from being rude.

It is because of refusing to accept cultural differences and languages....American's in general (not all) feel as if they are superior to all other cultures and will not make any allowances for it.
Pity!
