There are women that have there labor in there back. The baby could be pushing against your bladder that would explain all the trips to the bathroom. Call your Dr. and let him know what is going on. Try a warm heating pad against your back. Ask your Dr if there is anything you can take. But dont worry it shouldnt be long now till you are holding a little one.

I have read before that loose bowels or diarhea can be a sign of impending labor. The body's way of preparing. That coupled with the back pain which may be contractions, would make me want to be checked. Time those back pains, and consider being seen in the next day or sooner if it gets worse. (Not a doctor just have had two of my own and I read a lot of different pregnancy books.)

You could be in early labor. Don't go taking any over-the-counter medications -- call you OB. In the meantime, make sure you are WELL hydrated (dehydration can bring on labor, and it's easy to get dehydrated during a heat wave), and rested. Lay down on your side in a cool place and drink water. Since you are pre-term, your OB may want to stop things and give your baby more time to grow. Depending on how things are going "down there," you may be put on bedrest for two more weeks, and you may be given a drug to stop any contractions. However, at 37 weeks, your baby is almost full term, so the OB may opt to just let things proceed naturally. Pain is a part of it (didn't they warn you?). At 37 weeks, almost all babies are sufficiently developed to do just fine. He or she may be small, a bit fuzzy, and sleep more/need more encouragement to start nursing, and the chances of developing jaundice are higher, gut usually that's about the only difference between going full term. My first baby was born at 36 weeks (after I had pre-term labor and was hospitalized, medicated and on bedrest since week 28), and he was almost 6 pounds and did great. I also had pre-term labor with my second, who was born at 38 weeks and was 7 lbs. 9 oz. (Really, when they get to seven pounds, they're done! Time to get out of there while the getting is easy!). So relax, get a (non-alcoholic) drink, and call the OB.

well it could be early signs of labour or maybe you picked up a stomach illness. Keep yourself hydrated. If the back pains come and go with some regularity i would say its definately time to give your doctor a call just to be checked or take yourself down to the local hospital. I spent over a week like that in early labour and it was uncomfortable but in the long run my actual hard labour was much shorter. Prolonged mild labour like that helps your cervix start the initial dilationl. I saw a mid wife for that pregnancy and they recommended red raspberry leaf tea available at the health food store to calm my uterus down.

Can't you not just make it without Tylenol? I mean it's medicine the baby "eats", too. Try to relax, go to bed or for a walk and most important, be patient.
If the pain gets real bad, talk to your doctor- just in case.

you are on your way to labor...lol...a womens body naturally cleans itself out for this process (loose stools), the back pain would be your uterus contracting for dialation..it will come and go ove a 2 or 3 day period then the water will just break and i guarantee you are dialated to a 2 or 3 right now...you will be having a baby in 24 to 48 hours good luck and congrats....

Hmm I donno but if you find out lemme know. I have all that but I'm only 11 weeks pregnant with my second. I've been having cramps since my 5th week, peeing a lot is my nature anyways so now that I'm pregnant it's ten times worse, back has been hurting since about 6 weeks...all seemed way too early to me but I still have these things...and I have a LONG time to go...Best of luck.

more than likely the back pain is due to either real contractions or false contractions (brancton hicks). I would definetly call your OB and tell them about what going on since you have very little time to go. More than likely it's just your body getting itself ready to handle childbirth.
