I have faith in Mark. If he can get awesome crew and they build him a great truck, he can take a title. No Mark is not past his prime, he is racing just to race now. He wants to focus on his sons career.

I feel there is no doubt Mark Martin will definitely win a truck championship. There can be no doubt he will be the jewel of the truck series, after all it is filled with former cup drivers on their way down. This does not apply to Martin in my opinion I think he still has it but he truly wants to spend more time with his family,he especially wants to be more involved with his son Matt's racing career.Mark is not past his prime he can surely win the truck title.

He is a great driver and good for the sport however, he has seen his better days.

There is a fear of driving a 200mph car once you reach a certain age. The reaction times etc., are not that good. I know that Rusty and others bailed seeing good friend's lives lost on the track. No doubt it has even made Kyle Petty a different driver.

Mark shoud be proud of where he is in the points standings today. To have 38 other drivers behind you at this point in the season with his age, is a great accomplishment.

I think he could win the truck championship if he would go fulltime next year. The longer he waits, the less chance he has.

I think he is past his prime but definatly still a top contender. I would love to see him win one before he retires.
