i am 39 weeks today . i have had my membranes stripped twice... nothing... why???? he said that my pelvic bone was pinching his fingers and he couldn't reach the baby's head??? is this my fault or is the baby not far enough down yet??? thanks

Sounds like baby is still too high. This happened similar to my last child and I was induced and made it to a 6, but could not progress. It turned out (after my C-Section) my son's head was too large for my pelvis and the cord was around his neck. He couldn't go any farther. This is soo not your fault. Your due date could be a little off, as frustrating as that may be. You have made a really good home for your little one and they are just not ready to leave it. :-) Hang in there and try to enjoy the last little bit, it is easier to care for them inside than out. Go see a movie, it will be awhile before you can go again.

Those last few days of pregnancy can be SO uncomfortable. Hang in there! There isn't much you can do to get labor started, really. The baby comes when he or she is ready to be born. The forty week mark isn't a magic number, but rather an average, remember. Just rest and relax... I know it seems like it will never happen, but it will!

no its not your fault, you cant control when this baby is or is not gonna come out. i was 4 cm dilalated for 1 week before any signs of labor came on... the baby will come when ready and if you go to far over your due date then your dr. may want to induce and if that doesnt work he may want you to have a c-section... good luck with your little one

I was 2 cm at 32 weeks pregnant and 4 at 36 weeks. I didnt deliver my son till three days before my due date. I had no signs of it either. I woke up one morning soaked ( my water broke) and the contractions started. Best of luck. It'll happen pretty soon!

it is not your fault. God's timing is not our timing. that baby will come exactly the right time. with my 2nd i was dialated to a 3 for 3 weeks and i went 11 days past my due date. just take a breath, get as comfortabe as you can and wait. good luck to you

unprotected sex got ur pregnantcy started and if u have lots of unprotected completed sex the spunk will help lube ur slot to make the baby come out
