"HI. My name is BillyBob. I am calling to follow up on the application I dropped of lastweek. I just wanted to be sure you rec'd it and wanted to know when you will be starting the interviewing process." I'd call within 2 days of submitting it since it's for a fast food place! They most likely have applications on hand at all times.

I wouldn't call every day... because you don't want to come accross as being a pest. But not calling show's apathy. It's a fine balance! I would wait 2-3 days and call back and say that you are very interested in working there and were checking on the status of your application. Be polite and upbeat.

Fast food places usually need to replace some one that has quit really soon so I would call back (as it is customary to call the )next day and thank the interviewer for thier time and ask if they had made thier desion yet..
you can get a lot of info from the work force, employment office , they can give you a lot of advice as well as help you find a job

Did you have an interview yet? If you did, don't forget to send a note to the person who met with you thanking them for their time for meeting with you. If you didn't have an interview, call around 10:30am and ask to talk to the person who will be doing the hiring (write down this individuals name prior to talking to them), when they answer the phone, address them as "Miss, Mrs. Mr. Jones" whatever their name is, then ask if they had an opportunity to review your application and if they say yes, tell then you would like an opportunity for an interview. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, but just be positive and cordial to them. Good luck!!

give it a few days, most places like that receive so many apps it takes a while to look for them. just let them know you were wondering if they recieved it and had a chance to review it. when i managed a restaurant it always impressed me if someone had the initiative to call. also for future reference when you turn in an app ask to briefly talk to the manager. this way they can meet you and when they look at the application it's not just a piece of paper. good luck!

I would wait about a week. Tell them that you put in an application, give your name, and are wondering if the manager has taken a look at it yet.
Also, you could go to the place you applied for the job and ask to speak to the manager.
If you show them that you are interested...without sounding desperate.....prospective employers like that.

I would suggest giving them about a week. You have to remember that fast food places can get busy, so you might not be high priority. But a weeks is enough for them to get back to you.
If you don't hear anything after a week, you can call them and find out where things stand.

I would give it between 3 to 5 business days. When you call, just say that you're following up on your application. It sounds professional, and not too pushy.

Calling to check is a good idea it shows your really interested. Its also best to try and turn your app. in right to the manager, it gives you a chance to introduce yourself and make sure that he gets your app
