I have learned that 16,000 are registered with the Canadian Authorities, so 24,000 aren't. What could they possibly be doing there? Is there something about Lebanon that we don't know? I just don't understand why 1/800th of the Canadian population would leave Canada to live in Lebanon.

What I dont understand is why anyone would take their kids to Lebanon on vacation when they knew it was dangerous.. I can understand ambassadors or trades persons there.. but NOT vacationers..That would be like sending my kids to afganastan or pakistan for vacation

Most of them are Lebanese having the Canadian nationality. And most of them come to lebanon to visit their familiesin summer.
