abortion is legal in all 50 states and it is recommended if you choose to abort to do it within the first trimester (1-3 months; up to 12 weeks) but I have known women to go as far as 20 weeks; I do not recommend this as you can have an emotional and possibly physical reaction, if you go during 17-20 weeks you will be induced and go into labor. I do not recommend having one after 12 weeks. recovery is minimal and emotionally you will do better. the abortion is usually a very emotional experience and if you choose to have one seek counseling afterward. Call your local planned parenthood and they can direct you in the right direction; just look in your yellow pages or call information.
Good Luck
