I bought a wireless mouse/keyboard combo. Micro innovations. KB985W. i cant get it to work at all. I have installed the driver, uninstalled, reinstalled. Used the button on the reciever and on the mouse and keyboard. I have tried about everything I can think of. It is really annoying. Can anyone help me. I have an hp a1129n desktop pc with media center. Should have worked with just plugging it in. Thanks

Do you have any connectivity with the mouse and keyboard?
Look at the receiver. The ones I am familiar with (From Logitech which are awesome) have a connect button on the receiver and device which you are trying to connect.
The order is this for my system (USB receiver):
Plug in Receiver and have working batteries in keyboard and mouse.
Press connect on receiver, hold down connect on keyboard, wait for the function lights on receiver to sync with keyboard (fast flashing then stops) to ensure I have connectivity. I then can control the function lights on the receiver with my keyboard.
Press connect on receiver, hold down connect on mouse/trackball and wait for fast flashing then flashing to stop. Then I test keyboard and mouse. After I do that, I then install the software.

Try installing fresh batteries in both the keyboard and the mouse. Make sure there is nothing blocking the remote.

you might need to call customer service if you can get it to work with the instruction for example my computer when i installed didnt recognized the keyboard i need to update the software to get it to register

did you insert batteries in keyboard and mouse ?
