Sweet But Sexy Colors For Green Eyes

How To Sweet But Sexy Colors

Things to Consider...
-the shade of your eyes. (This will effect how the colors work for you.)
-the tools that you use to apply the shadow
-how much shadow you use (the more layers, the more intense the color)
-the shape of your eyes
-your age group

Are softer shades more appealing to you? This combination of soft shades should be perfect for school or on the job.

1. Eye Shadow: Peach over the lid.

2. Eye Shadow #2: Dust a little light brown over the peach. According to forum regular, "GOLDGREENEYE", the following combination works very well together.

3. Eye Liner: Deep mossy Green

4. Blush: A lush deep peach

5. Lipstick: "Browned" peach shade

Electric Green Eyes
*Preferred Age Group: under 20

**Things to Consider...

* the shape of your eyes
* your age group

Brows: Touch up if necessary. Fill in bare spots with shadow or pencil. Be sure to brush brows to soften color.

Highlighter:

Pale green with a silky pearl sheen.

Lid Shadow: The color of your shadow should be a more intense shade of a shiny green than that used as a highlighter. Brush it onto the inner corner of the lid, and intensify as you reach the outer corner.

This will make the eyes appear wider. Do the reverse if your eyes are too far apart.

Crease: Using a brush, work the shadow from the lid right into the highlighter.

Liner: To set off the green, apply a narrow line of intense black.

Mascara: Black

If you have blonde hair

Eyes:

Start with bone shadow all over the eyelid and add taupe from the lashline to the crease of your eyelid. Use a mahogany shade as liner -- it's up to you whether you prefer pencil, shadow, or gel eyeliner.

Lips:

Blondes look great in pink. Try a sheer or medium pink lipstick or lip gloss, or something with beige undertones in it.

Cheeks:

Once again, reach for pink! Peach is another pretty option.

I would suggest sticking to natural-ish tones... soft shimmery warm browns (think MAC Sable) on the eyes would make your green eyes stand out. On lips, try a soft (not too bright!) berry color. Lightly apply powder bronzer all over with a little extra on cheeks. Then add a pop of berry/pink right on the apples of your cheeks. Have fun!!

depends on the kind of look you're going for

lucky for you, you have green eyes (aka: gorgeous!)

during the day, keep it natural with just a bit of peach blush and clear lipgloss (i recommend: Georgia blush by benefit and chanel glossimer in Glaze) and maybe some brown mascara

if you're going out to lunch or a day party or something like that, try a really glossy gloss (lancome juicy tube in daiquiri) and a bit of brown mascara and a thin line of black eyeliner (liquid or pencil). if you want to switch it up, try white eyeliner, which brings out the whites of your eyes and makes the green really pop

if you're going out to dinner or someplace somewhat formal, go for the gold! literally. try a gold smoky eye: put on neutral eyeshadow to the brow, then load up on gold eyeshadow a little past the crease, smudge it, and add more gold eyeshadow until you get the smudginess you want. put on a thin line of gold shadow on the lower lid, or try a gold pencil. using a brown pencil, make a thin line across the upper lid. load on the mascara! (use black to make it dramatic). curl your eyelashes and comb out the chunks.

when doing something dramatic like this, keep the blush simple. actually, dont wear any at all (no rose, it'll take it away- if you must, use a peach or apricot)

if you want to go for a clear gloss, that's your discretion. plain lip balm also works, or even a nude-lip look. if you want to go all out, high-glamour, use a matte red. the great thing about the gold-smoky eye is that it works with little-to-lots of lipstick.

If you use mascara, go with brown. Black looks too harsh and the same goes for eye liner. As for eye shadow, stay away from green because it will compete with your eye color. Gold tones look good on green eyes, I have also heard purple is a good color for green eyes.

Without knowing your face, none of us can say. You should go to a department store and ask one of the people at a makeup counter to do a daytime look on you (that's their job, so don't feel bad about asking).

It's a nice idea to bring along some money and purchase something from them, too, as a sort of thank you, but you can also go to a drug store and try to find products similar to what they've shown you.
