I just got back from Orlando Sunday and while we were there we tried to find things to do that were different from the Disney scene. If you have older kids (or if you just like educational places) you can go to Wonderworks on international drive. There are also some put put places on international, which was fun for the whole family. There are a couple of beaches that are pretty close too, if you want a change from the theme parks. Cocoa Beach and Melbourne Beach. Have fun!

Island of Adventures or its called Adventures of Islands in Orlando.Make sure you go into the area that is stone and water outside it talks about zeus and the different gods .Seems a little wierd at first if your religious but well worth the show.The park is great for kids too.

Me and my husband took a trip to Orlando but we had went to DisneyWorld. Kissimmee has some water parks.
