On the lighter side...

On the serious side...

Be careful when using a swab...don't poke and prod. I use the tip of my washcloth and just wash it out using soap and water.

With half strength hydrogen peroxide and a qtip if you're that hung up on it. But, I wouldn't get too worried about your navel. It's not like people are going to scratch and sniff it or something and thing less of you. Soap and water and your finger do just fine.

put some gentle soap like baby soap (JUST A LITTLE) on a q-tip and just turn it into your bellybutton. it's best to do this in the shower so you can just let the water run on your stomach and rinse out the soap.

it's always how i've done it so it's safe.

I like to use an alcohol soaked cotton ball and swab it out that way. It works quite well especially if you have a "veteran" piercing.

*veteran* its been there a while.
