Sometimes the sound effects are louder than the spoken words. I noticed the food server didn't wash his hands after using the bathroom. One theatre manager asked, "what do you want me to do about it?.

People talking, it is harder to turn them off than a cell phone.

Actually there is something that annoys me that isnt even on your list. It is little kids who are at PG-13 or R rated movies with their parents. The reason why this annoys me is because of a few reasons.
First, a lot of times these movies are longer and the kids have to go to the bathroom at least once during the movie. This involves having to walk past a lot of people who are paying attention or dont want to be disturbed. No only do the kids go by, but the parents go with them, so the process is a bigger deal then.

Second, the kids often times end up kicking chairs, squirming around, or sit on their feet to sit higher in their chair. This can often times annoy those around them and disrupt their experience. If I wanted to have a massage chair, I would go to Sharper Image, not sit in a movie theatre and have a kid kick my chair the whole time.

Finally, these kids often dont have the patients to sit through long dramatic movies and can become uninterested very easily. They then begin to talk or do other things to pass the time. For example, I saw King Kong and had 3 kids in my row who lost interest fast and annoyed me the rest of the film by talking and playing games with each other. They also spilled an entire tub of popcorn on the floor and crawled around trying to clean it up, which included around my feet. They then proceeded to sit in back town and pinch/poke each other and yelp while doing so.

Now I am not saying this is 100% the case with all kids at these movies, but if you myst bring a kid to a higher rated movie or a non-children oriented movie, expect there to be some complications. Just because there might be a dinosaur or gorilla(in the case of King Kong) does not mean the kid will enjoy it or have the patients/energy to sit through it. There is a theatre full of people who paid $9 to see the film, and it only takes 1 person to ruin it.

I tend to get distracted very easily so any slight sounds will bug the hell out of me especially when I'm watching a movie. When I go to a movie theatre I don't go for the fun of it I go for the love of it so I expect to be satisfied. When most people go to the movies they go because they have nothing else to do on a friday or saturday night, it's a good setting for a date, and something they can do to be entertained. I go for the love of analysing a good storyline, video and audio ediitng, computer graphics, acting abilities, etc. I take movies seriously. It's not a game to me.

The cell phone issue gets me the maddest. As for the food server who didn't wash his hands, you should have told the manager that you're calling the Health Department & reporting them for unsanitary conditions around food.

that's gross.
but the most annoying thing i think is when you're at the movies and you're seeing a PG-13 movie, and there's a bunch of girls giggling the whole time.... ex. when my friend and i went to see "Flightplan," there were like 6 or 7 11 year old girls who thought they were on top of the world because they were seeing a PG-13 movie. Their cell phones were going off the whole time and they just wouln't SHUT UP!!!!

I hate when people talk right out loud in the movie theater. When you turn around to politely ask them to be quiet, they act like YOU are the one being rude... gggrrr
