Move the computer to a different room so the sound doesn't bother her, noise is just a part of it. I noticed the other night that my new mouse doesn't have distinct buttons and is quiter than before on clicking (Logitech laser mouse) you might want to look into something that has a seamless design for less noise or move it to a different room.

Unless you replace your mouse with one that does not click, you are stuck with the sound. The other option is to use the keyboard equivalent commands, but the keyboard makes just as much noise. It sounds like you should work out a time to use the computer when your Mom is busy doing something else.

Get her an iPod

If she can still hear the mouse clicking, it's probably because she's smoking way too much weed

Get a quieter mouse and keyboard. Go to your local computer store, they usually have displays you can try out.
