They can be if you mess with them. Once they get a hold of you they don't let go. They don't play well with others who are not possums also.

I agree with the person above. any animal can be dangerous, even tamed house pets. but yes possums can/are dangerous. one was one my fense once. We had to get the police because they can carry rabies, and if you have house pets, its best to keep them inside cuz yoiu dont want it to bite/fight with them.

Yes, just like squirrel and raccoons, they will bite if you try to catch or corner them. It is their instinct for survival. Be careful.

they have a nasty bite and can carry rabies...but it really depends on the situation. most are harmless and just run away.

just remember the old saying "don't bug them and they won't bug you" if you do mess with them, run like ___. they can get nasty.
