It wasn't 'started' by Isreal...but Isreal is going to end it.
It started way back with Rachel and her maidservant...check out the Bible....ie: Issac and Ishmeal. This is the cause of the great divide.

I don't necessarily think they are right, but they are justified. Isreal has given in to the Arabs on prisoner exchanges like this before. They need to show that they can and will protect their soldiers and punish those who injure them. It also seems that Isreal is now making up for lost ground from the wars of the last thirty years. During the Cold War, America couldn't really intervene on Isreal's behalf directly without the Soviet Union doing so for the Arabs, but now that the USSR is no more, the Isrealis don't have to worry about possible Soviet reprisals. They're going all out, to ensure their enemies can no longer hurt them and they can secure their soldiers. Isreal is basically doing what they United States can't, which is blatantly attack terrorist supporting countries with impunity. Besides, if your stated goal is the destruction of Isreal, Isreal has every right to destroy you completely. They have the right to defend themselves and their way of life, and they have a duty to protect their citizens.

Initially I thought they were over reacting to the abduction and killing of their soldiers. In the ensuing days, after much discussion with others, I believe that the abduction and killing of their soldiers was the straw that broke the camels back. They didn't start this war. Hezbollah did. If Hezbollah would stop killing innocent Israelis and lay down their arms, the war would end. But they won't. They are intent on wiping the state of Israel off the map.

The first party to engage in offensive action starts the war. The Hamas and Hezbollah people did that. Israel is reacting to the incursions the terrorist made. Why people insist that Israel started it is beyond me. If your family was kidnapped or killed by a terrorist how could you not do something about it?? The coward Jimmy Carter when our citizens were held captive in Iran did nothing, but Israel showed their respect for people of their country and is making the terrorist pay a high price for the actions taken.

Terrorism:
- Using the Veto in the UN Council for a cease of fire
- Killing over 200 civilians where 1/3 are children
- Destroying the lebanese infrastructure (Lebanon is 50% Muslim 50% Christian)
- Blocking food, blocking airplanes, boats .....
May Christ be with every child in Lebanon. I had more expectations in the Israeli state but now ....... They are the same as all terrorists
They were not right
