If you are exempt that means you are exempt from being paid overtime. Non-exempt means that you are not exempt will get OT pay. For more info visit www.dol.gov (under the FSLA section)

Exempt means you're salaried and not entitled to overtime. You get your same salary regardless of how many hours you work.
