Ice pack treatments 3 times a day for 20 minutes at a time for 3 days, then if still sore you may begin to use heat packs. It is most important at the beginning stage of soreness to deal with the inflamation. Heat at first will only aggravate the inflamation.

Switching from hot to cold a few times works. Exercises to stretch sore muscles will work too. Good luck!

Gently massage and stretch the sore muscles, apply heat and take ibuprofen if the pain is really bothering you.

get your sore heated up. put an ice pack or something cold on it for a little while. then take a hot shower or bath. usually works for me good luck!
