Well that depends on the size of the radiator.
It also depends on the size of the engine, the make of the car and the model.

Since its a 97, Your best bet would be to call a few junk yards, you should find something for around $50. Many places will allready have one pulled and inspected, with at least a 7 day return policy. If you are thinking about taking it somwhere, you will have to pay their markup on a recond, or a new one, and labor costs. Installing the used radiator yourself should take less than an hour, and only require a few hose clamps (allways replace old clamps and inspect hoses when reinstalling a new rad).

Depending on how bad your radiator is will determine what your course of action should be,start by taking it to a local radiator shop and have them evaluate it.Sometimes if the core is shot but the tanks are still good it can be recored, but before doing that price a new replacement radiator and make your own decision.

Radiators bypass undesirable usualybecause the COOLANT is the incorrect style, or they were less expensive firstly. There are AFTERMARKET ones from BEHR business enterprise that are large, and chrysleer has been popular to apply very less expensive parts the position they could. >>>RADIATORS are produced from aluminum, PLASTIC and rubber selas thses days> a number of thebetter ones are produced from copper. in spite of the indisputable fact that the RW+incorrect coolant will DESTORY THEM and especailly if the engien is out of song. E.G> style DEXDCOOL into BING and see what occurs. I alwys use JAPNESE or EUROPEANcoolant and stay MIELS faraway from PRESTONE and different chepaer look alikes. WIth ecu you have become a larger prodcut it is better well-off on ALUMINUM and plastic p[arts in cooling equipment. >>Do an effective FLUSH and fill of equipment or your HEATER center may be next to bypass undesirable. and that is a actual NIGHTMARE! GOODLUCK!!
