My daughter (age 23) has been 'goth' since the age of about 13 or 14. She's less goth now, has a job, nice boyfriend, less extreme about the clothes, make up etc. She is manic depressive and I believe that this is the problem with all goths. From my observation as a health care professional and mother, they believe (like most groups) that they are 'different', but as I pointed out to my daughter and her former boyfriend, "Look around you, everyone who looks like you or believes the things that you believe make you yet a part of a 'group', just like the jocks, cheerleaders and yes, the dredded 'preppies'. If only they'd open their eyes.

I don't think that real goths, as a group are pissed about anything. However teen "goths" are pissed about being misunderstood, which has more to do with being a teenager than anything else.

goths aren't pissed at all. it's a front to act depressed and listen to AFI.

From my experience jock culture ticks off a lot of people. Goths are one.

i know why there pissed, its because everyone sterio types them with always cutting for one example......not only "goths" cut. there are alot of people in different groups of people who cut

usually cuz their depressed. punx r better cuz they actually do something about it rather then trying to get the whole world to be sorry for them.
